Dr. Paquette treats all forms of spinal disorders, including both surgical and non-surgical problems. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery, scoliosis and spinal deformities, tumors, and degenerative spinal disorders. On a daily basis he sees patients who are suffering from the chronic degenerative effects of aging and lifestyle choices. He believes strongly in conservative approaches, and as such incorporates the use of physical therapy, pain management, diet, and preventative approaches in the treatment of his patients. Dr. Paquette's office maximizes these philosophies by incorporating the skills of therapists, registered dietitians, and pain management specialists. He personally practices this health conscious outlook with a rigorous dietary and athletic lifestyle. Dr. Paquette is an internationally recognized instructor and speaker, and frequently travels to give scientific lectures and teach new surgical techniques. He is a member of multiple neurosurgical and spinal societies. He has published in multiple peer reviewed journals, and is currently involved in research on scoliosis, motion preservation technologies, and human stem cells. He also is involved with multiple companies in the design of novel instruments and techniques for the treatment of spinal problems. Dr. Justin Paquette is a fellowship-trained spinal neurosurgeon. He earned a triple major in Biology, Psychology, and Cognitive Science from Vassar College. He spent postgraduate time at Yale University studying degenerative disorders in the primate brain. He received a Masters Degree from Boston University School of Medicine with a thesis studying the neuro-degenerative effects of Huntington's disease. At Albany Medical College, Dr. Paquette published work on free radicals in the process of neuronal cell injury, and the positive effects of various neuro-protective agents. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Harvard and Tufts Universities. Dr. Paquette then finished a fellowship in complex spinal disorders at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He currently practices in Beverly Hills.
